Concordia held its annual OC Invitational during a veritable monsoon last Saturday at Portola High School in Irvine.
Much of Westcliff’s swim team was unable to attend, with head coach Jerry Olszewski reporting that most of the team was sidelined with illnesses.
Three Warriors were able to attend, however, Guiliana Galetto on the women’s side, and Robin Pettersson and Simen Loevaas on the men’s.
Westcliff Swim participated in the Bulldog Pentathlon. The event was filled with a lot of energy and even a solo event swimmer by Sebastian Pagan which all 6 schools in attendance was cheering on. We had a total of 5 swimmers compete: Giuliana Galetto, Robin Pettersson, Dean Bartlett, Sebastian Pagan and Simen Lovas. Standout swimmers goes to Robin Pettersson for finishing 17th in the Men 100 Yard Butterfly. Also to Simen Lovas for getting a top 10 finish in the Men 100 Yard Breaststroke event.
