Warriors Win 4th in a Row, USK Up Next
By Francisco Claudio
The Westcliff women's volleyball team took a small break from conference competition on Tuesday as they played West Coast Baptist College.
It was smooth sailing for the Warriors who won in straight sets 25-23, 25-23, 25-8, which makes it four in a row, a season-high this year.
The first two sets went back and forth but the Warriors were able to prevail and took the narrow two-point victory.
Abbey Beckwith was huge with a game-high 16 kills to continue her strong performance in the second half of the season.
Samantha Lister who earned the Cal Pac Conference setter of the week recorded 28 assists, 11 digs, and nine kills.
Last week's Cal Pac Conference offensive player Faith Webb recorded 10 kills and 10 digs.
The Warriors are in a battle for a spot in the postseason as they enter the last leg of the Cal Pac regular season schedule.
They have four games left. Three of them are away against USK, La Sierra, and Antelope Valley.
Up next will be USK which is the No. 1 team in the Cal Pac and who has not lost against a conference opponent.
This will be the toughest challenge for the Warriors this season but they are also entering this match playing their best and peaking at the right time.
Their last home game will be next Thursday, November 2nd, against Providence Christian.
It's going to come down the wire and the Warriors will have to win as many games as possible to have the best shot at making the postseason.
