The remarkable Westcliff women's volleyball season continues.

The Warriors picked up their seventh straight Cal Pac win to start league play Thursday night in San Marcos with a gutty, reverse-sweep comeback win over Saint Katherine, 3-2 (17-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, 15-12).

"I am so extremely proud of our team for pulling off a very tough reverse sweep comeback," Westcliff head coach Kenny Ma said. "Our team had a very slow start in the beginning and things weren't going our way.

"Being down, I believe we made the necessary changes and started focusing more on our team's 'infinity stones,' which are serving, serve receive and defense. Once we took care of those three skills, we were able to go back to playing the way we normally do."

Fiona Moesching, the reigning Warrior of the Week, went off, finishing with 19 kills, two more than Elise Brown, who also turned in a monster night with 17.

Maddie Shepston and Brooke Scheidle had six each, and Mia Scheepens and Abbey Beckwith had four each.

Defensively, Leonor Chambel led the effort with 18 digs, and three others had double-digit digs including Shepston (11), Ava Himstreet (12) and Michelle Do (10).

Do put in her usual stellar night at net, racking up 27 assists, while Lina Ellila had 21 of her own.

"Our team has dealt with a lot of adversity this past week, but I am glad everyone was able to set everything aside and just focus on the program," Ma said. "I am proud of our athletes for having a championship mentality and had the fire to continue to battle even when their backs were against the wall."

The Warriors will look to make it eight straight Friday at Momentous.

La Sierra will visit for a 2 p.m. first serve.
