Westcliff following their first win of the season against Friends. Now faced the host Our Lady of the Lake Saints. The whole match saw this young Warriors squad produce high level volleyball. The 2nd set was coined by the hosts as "the best set of the tournament". Westcliff also agrees with both teams going back and forth battling for every single point. OLLU grabbed that set 29-31.

The 3rd set saw the Warriors as a team hit for their best percentage of the season so far. Westcliff in the 3rd set hit for 14 kills and only 2 errors. The 4th set saw the Warriors gain a comfortable lead. Westcliff secured the victory 25-19. Westcliff beat the hosts OLLU Saints 3-1.

Westcliff finished in the Our Lady of the Lake Tournament 2nd among the participants.

Standout performances from Freshman Fiona Moesching and Sophmore Elise Brown in the Outside Hitting positons. Graduate Student Michelle Do showed her veteran status in setter with 26 assists for the match.

Another big standout was Freshman Libero Ava Himstreet. Himstreet was crucial in the warriors back line receiving 21 digs in the match.

Coaches' Notes:

"The biggest takeaway from this tournament was that we were able to showcase our depth against teams in the national rankings. It was only our first weekend of competition while everyone we played had already played for an entire week already.

For this tournament, I think we had a lot of players set up and rise to the occasion. I want to give a huge shoutout to our underclassmens for this tournament. Elise Brown - SO, Mia Scheepens - SO, Ava Himstreet - FR, Fiona Moesching - FR, Abbey Beckwith - FR and Luise Palenczat - FR."
