Warriors Get First Win of the Season

The Westcliff women's basketball team showed improvement on the second day of the Jessup Tournament as they took on Menlo College.
 
The Warriors had a big fourth quarter that helped them surpass Menlo and ultimately win, 79-65.
 
Captain Valisa Millhouse had a big game with 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
 
Millhouse led the way in the fourth quarter with eight points which contributed to the Warriors winning it 25-16.
 
Eva Taylor was on fire from the three-point line going 5-9.
 
Akilah Kubi was big off the bench with 12 points and 10 rebounds, earning her first double-double this season.
 
As a team, the Warriors shot 41% from the field and 50% from the three-point line.
 
They are 1-1 this season and will continue playing against non-conference opponents as they get ready for the start of the Cal Pac season in December.
 
Up next, the Warriors will play against Westmont on Tuesday, November 14.
