Warriors Add Coach Wallace to Lead SB
Westcliff's softball team has improved every year that they have competed in the NAIA and most recently played in the 2023 Cal Pac Championship final against No. 1 seed Embry-Riddle.
The Warriors finished a successful season with an overall record of 32-20 and a conference record of 19-9.
Starting over and repeating the success of the previous season is a tall task as the 2024 season approaches in just over a month.
But the Warriors are determined to make another strong push at a shot at the Cal Pac title and have added a veteran to lead this group in the pursuit of greatness.
Enter, new Head Coach Brandon Wallace.
Coach Wallace will be taking the helm of this program and comes over from the University of La Verne with an extensive background in both prep and intercollegiate levels of softball.
Most recently, Wallace was with the La Verne softball coaching staff as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
Wallace worked with pitchers, catchers, and hitters in addition to recruiting and brought tremendous experience and success as a coach on both the prep and intercollegiate levels.
In 2019-2022 Coach Wallace was the Lead Assistant Softball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for CSUSB as he worked with student-athletes academically, practiced planning, and worked with fielding and hitting. He was also in charge of running prospect camps as the camp director.
In 2020-2021 Coach Wallace was named the Director of Operations for the American Athletics organization while also leading the 18U premier team as the Head Coach.
Coach Wallace in his short time with AA helped players receive scholarships to continue playing at the college level.
In 2017-2019 Coach Wallace was the Lead Assistant and Recruiting Coordinator at Fullerton Community College. While there he also assisted the Hornets with the infield and hitting from 2017-2019.
From 2015-2020 Coach Wallace played a big role in the travel ball circuit being the Head Coach with the Cal A's organization and coached the 14U, 16U, and 18U Gold seasons. Many of his players from travel ball went on to play at all levels of college, from NCAA Division I to NAIA.
In the summer of 2016, Coach Wallace was an Assistant Coach with the Cal A's USA Select Team who faced the Denso Japan National Team.
He has also served as a High School Varsity Coach and is the owner of Wallace Fastpitch Academy, where he is a private hitting and fielding instructor.
Wallace's athletes have achieved remarkable success, which comes as no surprise given the years of hard work he has invested in this sport.

It's exciting times for the Warriors as they look to take the next step in this journey and hope to be able to be the last team standing come springtime.
Coach Wallace and the Warriors will have a lot of games from here to then as they look to be one of the elite teams in the Cal Pac Conference.
"I'm really excited about the staff that I'm going to take on and the family and culture here," Wallace said. "My vision is we're going to go out and compete and look to make the conference championship. Not just the tournament, we're going to take it all and make Westcliff softball nationally known."
Coach Wallace was born in Hawaii and moved to California when he was nine years old. Growing up playing sports, he knew he wanted to coach or be a social worker to help kids. He currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife, four kids, and their four dogs.
