Warriors Hit Their Way to a 2 game Win over Benedictine

Westcliff Warriors went out to Arizona to face Bendectine-Mesa in their 2nd conference series of the season. The 1st game saw the Warriors strike first with 2 runs in the top of the 1st. The Redhawks found momentum and were able to tie up the game in the 6th. Westcliff was able to gain the lead from a hit from Gabby Clippinger on the play sent home Natalie Ziegler to take the lead 3-2. Heading into the bottom of the 9th, Westcliff brought in their ace pitcher in Nina Hendriks. 3 up and 3 down with a strikeout to end the 1st game with a warrior win 3-2.

The 2nd game saw the Warriors tie their game high in hits with 11. Westcliff with the 2nd game in a row came out swinging with 3 runs in the top of the 1st. The bulk of the Warriors offense occurred in the top of 3rd with a total of 7 runs scored for the Warriors. The most in a single inning for this team. Westcliff was able to end the game due to the mercy rule 11-0 in 5 Innings. Starting pitcher Nina Hendriks earns her 3rd win of the season.
