Ramos Walk Off Triple for Program's First Win

What Happened? Westcliff Warriors hosted Vanguard at Vanguard University for their first series against an NAIA opponent. The 1st game had the (RV) Vanguard Lions control the entire game taking the 1st game 8-0 in 6 Innings.
The 2nd game of the series was the complete opposite it held more energy and excitement. This was were the Warriors dug deep and fought for every inning. The bottom of the 1st saw the Warriors strike first on the board. Ananda Delegarito reached 1st base off of a fielder's choice. Then a stolen base and passed ball later moved into scoring position at third. A single from Celeste Huffman brought Delegarito home for the 1-0 lead. The top of 2nd saw the Lions tie the game from a double RBI to left field.
The rest of the game was a pitching duel with Nina Hendriks grabbing 4 strikeouts and only allowing 4 hits for the entire 2nd game while leaving 4 Lions on base. Westcliff over the course of the game got on base from walks and a few hits but couldn't add more to the offense. As the Warriors leave 9 players on base. Heading into the bottom of the 7th game still tied at 1 apiece, Gabby Clippinger started the momentum with a single down the left side. Coming up to the plate was 1st Baseman Becky Ramos who hit a walk off triple into left field for the Warriors to grab their first win of the season and the first win in program history.
