It's never easy to beat a good team twice.
But even though OUAZ brought their A-game, and some, Thursday at Golden West College, the No. 11 Westcliff men's volleyball team did the deed again, beating OUAZ in five, 23-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-17, 15-12.
Rodolfo Biegelmeyer was fantastic, racking up 40 attacks and 15 kills (.175). He also had three service aces and four digs on defense.
Tom Dempsey had nine kills and Connor McCann had seven.
Gabriel Pizza had six kills, while both Lukas Pusvaskis and Tiago Silva had five. Andrin Broder chimed in with four of his own.
Pawel Tuz had 38 assists in the middle, and Nikos Kalagasidis had 11.
On the defensive end, Sebastian Ignaczak led the way with 11 digs. Pizza had eight and Jacob Bulosan had six.
The Warriors travel to SOKA for a match tonight.
First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Laguna Niguel.
