The Westcliff men's soccer team remained ablaze Sunday morning at Championship Stadium at the Great Park, where the Warriors dismantled Cal Maritime, 8-0.

Bottom line, the Warriors are playing phenomenal soccer.

To put it into perspective:

In its past four contests, all wins, Westcliff has outscored its opponents 27-4.

Quentin Hornung is currently tied for the Cal Pac lead in goals scored and leads the conference in points and shots.

Karam Idris is leading the Cal Pac in assists.

On Sunday, Francesco Zanin, Neal Draves and Seth Tyson combined on the most relaxing clean sheet they have ever earned, as the Warriors outshot Maritime 48-0 and allowed just one corner set-piece.

"Discipline," Westcliff head coach Tom Lancaster said. "Not everyone trying to score goals. Maintaining good shape is really important. It's easy to get carried away in games, but guys were disciplined and didn't give anything up that way."

John Adekunle broke open the scoreless tie in the ninth minute on a help from Hornung and the party was on.

Cesar Ortega scored a pair of goals, while Idris, Kay Maletzki, Mads Volden, Lukas Lougon and Hornung all added goals of their own.

Felix Kogler, Max Juha Simonis (two), Jakob Schnitzler, Marco Peccolo and Jonas Jansen all collected assists.

"We did well," Lancaster said. "Ortega got a couple of goals, which is important. Goo performance again, pretty disciplined."

Now the Warriors enter a stretch of in-pod contests that will go a long way in determining Westcliff's postseason fate.

On Tuesday, the Warriors (7-2-2, 3-0-1) travel to Saint Katherine for a 10 a.m. kickoff.

Friday, the Warriors meet Embry-Riddle in Prescott, Arizona for a much-anticipated rematch with the Eagles.
