The Westcliff men's basketball team fell to OUAZ on the road Thursday night, 88-80.
It was a close game throughout, but in the end, the home squad was able to drain 9-of-23 from range (39.1%), while the Dubs only managed 5-of-19 (26.3%).
That disparity turned out to be the difference.
"We had lack of attention to detail," Westcliff head coach Jerred Cook said. "We missed opportunities with things that were under our control.
"We didn't bring what was needed to consistently win on the road."
Marques Sales (nine rebounds) led the scoring with 15, while Rayven Turner had 13 and Micaiah Hankins (seven rebounds, four assists, two steals) had 12.
The rest of the scoring was spread evenly among the rest of the roster.
The Warriors (2-3) have very little time to worry about the loss, as a showdown with former Cal Pac rival Benedictine Mesa tips off tonight at 7 pm.
