Coach Hoffman comes to Westcliff University with a deep  understanding for the game. After  helping the Warriors have their best season in school history,  Coach Hoffman was drafted in the 38th round of the 2019 draft  by the San Diego Padres. After his professional career ended,  Coach Hoffman took some time off for surgery to repair his left  shoulder. He decided to join the coaching staff at Westcliff University. He was the head coach for a summer team in 2021  and will be the head coach for the upcoming summer season for  the Field Rats in the Sunset League.

Coach Hoffman has a twin brother (Drake) and three older sisters  (Sarah, Stacy, Sabrina) along with his father and mother, Glenn  and Cheryl. His father Glenn Hoffman, played professionally and  coached in Major League Baseball for over two decades for the  Boston Red Sox (played 1980 -1987), Los Angeles Dodgers  (played 1987), California Angels (played 1989), Los Angeles  Dodgers (managed 1998, coached 1999 - 2005), and the San  Diego Padres (coached 2006-2020).
