Bio

Brandon Petersen is a seasoned sports communications professional with over 20 years of experience in media, writing, and game operations. A three-time master’s graduate — including a Master of Professional Studies in Sports Management from Georgetown University — he has built his career around elevating athlete voices and programs through authentic storytelling.

Brandon currently serves at Westcliff University, where he oversees athletics media and game operations, producing multi-camera livestreams, managing student media teams, and crafting long-form features that spotlight the human stories behind the stats. His leadership has helped shape Westcliff’s growing athletics brand while mentoring the next generation of sports media professionals.

Before Westcliff, Brandon’s journey included work in high-level AAU coverage and championship event reporting, combining a journalist’s eye for detail with a producer’s instinct for narrative flow. Across every project, he brings a deep belief in sports as a platform for transformation — and in storytelling as the connective tissue between athletes and their communities.
