Bio

Rachel Nieto is the Athletics Sr. Compliance Coordinator where she helps with compliance operations, organization, and supervision of teams and coaches. She has always surrounded herself in athletics and has a passion for being an advocate for student-athletes and their mental health as they navigate through their collegiate journey.

Before her time at Westcliff, she was the Assistant Coach at UC Berkeley for the Women’s Beach Volleyball team where they finished top 10 in the nation, and she became an AVCA Thirty Under 30 award winner. She played beach and indoor volleyball at Long Beach State University and was an AVCA First-Team Beach All-American, the career wins leader, and a 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.

In 2019, Rachel graduated with a Master’s in Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology where she learned how to teach applied techniques to student-athletes so they can be at peak performance in their sport. While completing her degree, she worked as a Mental Skills Coach for college and high school student-athletes and was a Faculty Instructor in LBSU’s Kinesiology department.
