The 2024-25 season for the Westcliff surf team is well underway, and after three events, the team is on an incredible upward trajectory.
Although their third event was delayed due to fog, and results aren't yet available, reports from head coach Lucas Taub indicate the team did very well in its third event.
After finishing fifth in their first event, the men's team finished 3rd overall at Stop 2 in Ventura.
Meanwhile, on an individual basis, Taylor Stacy took first overall in the women's competition, capturing the gold, while Jordy Collins took bronze on the men's side.
"We're looking really, really solid after three events," Taub said. "We've shown massive improvement, and what we're capable of. The team energy and vibe is high and everyone is so stoked on this crew and what we have going. Sky is the limit!"
Check back at the end of Event 5 for full results of Event 3 in Oceanside, when the fog delayed competition will finally conclude.
Although results are not official, Taub did indicate that Jack Hopkins was outstanding, as was Collins, Stacy, Eduardo Van Zeller and Kylan Crapenhoft.
Up next for the Warriors is Stop 4 on the NSSA tour, this time in Santa Cruz in January.
The Dubs will then return home to Huntington Beach for Event 5, and the conclusion of Event 3.
At that point, full results will be available.
