Millhouse Scores 30, But WU Falls to ERAU
February 17, 2024
The Westcliff women's basketball team has been in a rough patch as they've dropped their last three games.
Last Thursday, the Warriors played their final road game at Embry-Riddle and lost 81-71.
With that result, the Warriors are currently in sixth place (11-13, Cal Pac 9-8) in the conference standings.
Only the top six teams make it to the postseason, so Westcliff will need to string together a couple of wins in the last stretch of the season if they want to keep a hold of that last spot.
The Warriors battled hard against Embry-Riddle but weren't able to get over the hump even after a heroic effort from senior Valisa Millhouse.
Millhouse went out and scored a season-high 30 points. She accompanied that with five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Millhouse shot the ball well going 13-for-22 from the field and made 50% of her three-point attempts.
Eva Taylor helped out with 15 points and was 3-for-4 from three.
Jalen Long had 10 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
The Warriors only have three games left of their season, but they are all home games. They'll try to use that in their favor and get back to what led them to four wins in a row just a few weeks ago.
Next, they will play La Sierra on Saturday, February 17th, with a start time of 8:30 p.m.
