Warriors Pick Up Wins over Soka, Benedictine

The Westcliff men's soccer team collected wins over Soka (2-1) and Benedictine Mesa (3-1) last week.
Fridolin Gefrorer (Jonas Jansen) and Alessandro Latona (Silva Mosue) scored in the Soka contest.
Emir Basar, Vincenzo Centrella and Marius Brondbo all scored in the Benedictine match.
Basar and Janis Hinterleitner picked up assists.
"The strength of our squad is helping us at this point in the season," Westcliff head coach Tom Lancaster said. "We have a lot of depth, so we are always fresh when we play."
Westcliff hasn't a lot a match since a Cal Pac-opening setback to UC Merced.
Currently, the Warriors (7-1-1) are in second place with 22 points.
Embry-Riddle has clinched a postseason spot with 27 points.
Merced is currently third with 18 points.
"We have put ourselves in a good position," Lancaster said. "But our goal is to improve every time we step foot on the field."
Three contests remain.
Westcliff travels to Arizona this week for matches against Park-GIlbert and Embry-Riddle.
Senior Night is Thursday, Oct. 27 against Providence Christian.
