It was a succesful Saturday for Warrior Water Polo at the Inland Empire Classic. Westcliff first faced off against Cal Tech. The match saw a new record for goals scored with a total of 32 goals, 13 Warriors scoring in that match. Westcliff took that momentum to their match against #7 La Verne. Westcliff versus La Verne saw the 1st period end with the Warriors trailing by 1 goal. The Warriors went the next three periods holding the Leopards to only 12 goals. Westcliff extend their winning streak to 4 on the season.

"It was a real good day today. The 1st match saw a bunch of players coming off the bench to help. It was a great experience for those players. 2nd match was very important to us la Verne is a tought team. They were really motivated to beat us following a loss to LMU prior. It was close game in the 1st period. The rest we were really dominate in the match.
Andrej played phenomenal against La Verne scoring 5 Goals. Mateja Bosic also scored big time for us. Patrick Zsiros he is constantly improving every match. Roberto was clutch in goal with 12 saves. Vicenzo Iguanta played very well defensivley for us. Tomorrow will be even more important for us. We will be playing the top 2 teams in the NCAA DIII with Claremont Mudd Scripps and Pomona Pitzer."
Westcliff will take on Claremont and Pomona tomorrow to finish out the Inland Empire Classic.
